Tech news:
LuxPro releases the Super Shuffle. This is a flash-based MP3 player that looks almost identical to the iPod shuffle. Supposedly the Super Shuffle MX-575D/1075D has the same weight as the iPod shuffle, but is slightly larger and comes with a built-in FM tuner, 512MB and 1GB flavors, and offers support for playback of MP3, WMA, and WAV files.
Kazaa Outed Over ‘Trust Fund’ for Red Cross. Documents have been tendered in Australian Federal Court court that showed that Kazaa claimed to have set up a trust fund for donations to the Red Cross (at about the time the tsunami hit), but the Red Cross has confirmed in writing it has never heard from them about it.
The New York Times is running an article that questions the long term viability of free online news. Interestingly, the Times now has more online readers than print readers.

Ask A Geek:
Scott wants to know why the Windows XP SP2 firewall sucks. He would also like to know recommendations for a free spyware and registry cleaner.
Well the Windows firewall sucks because it does not alert you to any rogue activity on your system and has little-to-none configuration options. While it is better than no firewall, other free programs such as ZoneAlarm are more robust.
Free spyware cleaners I recommend are AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy and Microsoft’s Anti-Spyware. A good registry cleaner is RegCleaner (http://www.sofotex.com/RegCleaner-download_L4965.html)
