I am aware of a feed issue where your podcatcher may be downloading older episodes while getting the new ones. I am working on ways to eliminate this bug. Thanks to all who e-mailed me a heads-up.
There was an issue with the voicemail being inactive. This has since been corrected and now is working.

Tech news:
Yahoo pulls aol-style installation move. If you’re one of the tens of millions of Yahoo users asked to upgrade your instant-messaging software this week, be on your toes: The update can open the door to unwanted PC houseguests–and setting changes–by default. The newest free version of Yahoo Instant Messenger is a upgrade that comes “highly recommended” by Yahoo. By accepting Yahoo’s “typical” installation of YIM with Voice, it will also download Yahoo’s Search Toolbar with anti-spyware and anti-pop-up software, desktop and system tray shortcuts, as well as Yahoo Extras, which will insert Yahoo links into the Internet Explorer browser. The installation will alter the users’ home page and auto-search functions to point to Yahoo by default.
Steve Jobs has cancelled his keynote for this year’s Apple Expo in Paris. No official word on what happened. Instead of a formal keynote Apple will be holding a more informal press conference with Jobs and other company execs. Phil Schiller is expected to be the front-man for this event.

Ask A Geek:
Rupert from Swizerland asks:
“I’m looking for a program which allows me to copy content from CD’s (especially games) that would be free. If it can copy DVD’s that would be great too. Thanks!”
Rupert, you’re in luck. There is a great program that can backup DVD’s and copy almost any CD out there, including the locked game disks that you are referring to. The program is called Alcohol 120%.
Alcohol 120% is a very robust program that allows you copy disks, back up disks to files, and even duplicate disks. The program is very straight-forward and looks just like the standard Windows XP interface. All the tasks come up as wizards so they are easy to navigate and execute. Using this program, you should have no issue at all getting those backups for your needs.
Alcohol 120% can be checked out at http://www.alcohol-soft.com. While not free, the program does have a demo version that will allow you to see if it fits your needs. If you end up wanting to purchase it, it’s only $53.00.
